Modern Day romance. Both of us were looking for love via the internet. After a few trials that did not work out, Sherri decided to sign up on Match.com. Scott had signed up as well. Many potential suitors contacted Sherri thus she never even needed to pay for the service. BTW all you single ladies, there are a lot more men on those internet dating sites than women so you have a very good chance getting lucky and finding Mr. Right. Scott contacted Sherri to help save her from the cable modem connected to her arm (I had to make up something cute for a lead in and I was always stuck on my computer and alone). Sherri had a picture posted on Match.com, Scott however did not. Scott emailed a picture that was corrupted and thus no one not even Sherri (whom can normally open any picture with her trusty Photoshop). After a couple of tries, Scott managed to send a picture. OOOO BOY! :) Such a cutie with a gorgeous smile. We hit it off quite well via email and thus decided to go on a date.
Our first date (the Friday after Thanksgiving 2001) we met at Macaroni Grill in the Arboretum. We had dinner then went together to a movie (Monsters Inc.). After having fun laughing together, we went back to where the other car was parked at the restaurant and went to Scott's house to hang out. We talked for several hours and watched a John Cusak movie - High Fidelity. I went home very very early morning.
Fast forward a year. Scott moved in with Sherri in November 2002.
Fast Forward again. February 13, 2004, Scott proposed at the Hill Country Pasta House. We had a great Italian dinner with wine and dessert. We left after dinner and he proposed when we arrived at the truck. I said yes and nearly cried. Scott told me "please do not cry (or he would too)". We decided to go see my parents and let them know. We told his family the next day (Valentines). The rest of my family found out on Sunday at a get together for my sister and my grandma's birthdays.
